A 22" x 30" giclee of "Ace" will be auctioned off Thursday April 23 at The Adult Literacy League event called Reading between the Wines.  Enjoy wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and a presentation by two special guests: NY Times best-selling author Michael Connelly and Bob Morris, former newspaper humorist who now writes mystery novels that take place in Florida and the Caribbean. 

Proceeds from the event will help expand literacy services in Central Florida where 14% of adults cannot read at a 5th grade level. Another 29% have only the most basic of skills or are non-literate in English.

My old friend and surfing buddy Damian Stevens just started a great editing and post production house in LA. This is a piece I made for Arcade. One more experiment with a photo/art combination. This one I created in illustrator using a photo my friend Brian took of me dropping in last summer. I think it was the Hurricane Bertha swell.

This was a catalog that came stuck inside a Surfer magazine. So I painted on it. I really like painting on photos, love the layers it creates.
